I've been trying to get my 11-year-old daughter to sort through her clutter for years. One day after reading The Girl's Guide to your Dream Room, she's doing it on her own. She can't wait to finish so she can replace the Beatrix Potter curtains and pale pink decor with things more suitable for a pre-teen. Once I retrieved the book from my daughter's clutches, I read through it myself. Filled with short stories, quizzes, simple crafts, and cute drawings, I can see why this book appeals to her so much. Primarily about decorating, Sherry Kyle also uses the stories to teach important heart lessons and share Biblical truth. It reads much like the popular American Girls Guides, but with an added element of faith. I adore this book... almost as much as my daughter does! Now, if you'll excuse me... it's time to get to work.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book for free from Legacy Press Kids for the purpose of review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
