    THE GLEAM OUT-SHINES ITSELF

The Gleam is a great short album that show's how well these boys can write songs. Every song on this disc is different but connects eventually with the rasp of scotty avett. If It's the Beaches is one of the greatest, tear your heart out love songs ever written and When I Drink will evoke times of dejavu. This album, to be as short as it is , is one of their most stellar and makes me yearn for more from these North Carolina artists.
