I have not read this book. I am buying it tomorrow. The daughter of a friend at work was incredibly sick with candida, and this diet healed her. The mother decided to try it for weight control. So did her husband. This concept sounds so exciting and has worked wonderfully for all three of these people. Good luck everyone. Will buy the book, start eating this way, and let you know what happens!
First borrowed from the library and hated to take it back. I need my own copy. Not only for Athletes and folks with Diabetes, this book explains how we all would benefit by using the glycemic index. Great pantry and refrigerator inventory list and recipes!!!
Finally a book that simplifies the most obvious way people should eat without giving absolute restrictions of sweets. There are restrictions on the types of sweets but a book that says that I can have ice cream but just low fat is 'a-ok' with me. It is wonderful and it makes so much sense. Things that are too over processed go right to your hips as well as high fat foods and fatty proteins. I knew that the low carb diet was wrong. This is a better, more satifying way to eat. Coming from someone who will inevitably get diabetes, with this new way of eating, I plan to keep it at bay hopefully forever.
Yo, there are some really good recipes here. I like the one called 'Good Pasta' the best. My friend Matteo makes something like that too. I think maybe he read the book. If you like good healthy food, then this book is for you.
