Overview

Damon Chroi has known the weight of ruling in loneliness for thousands of years. The tall, painfully handsome fae lord was born with so much power, the fae kings not only envied but feared him, and banished him to a forbidden realm to be forgotten. There, he was tasked with ruling over the deadliest creatures known to the fae worlds, and his veritable battle as their sovereign is never-ending. As one of the 13 Kings, his destiny foretells an end to his solitude with the appearance of an equally powerful queen. But that kind of power is hard to come by. And power or not, Damon can’t imagine any woman willingly joining him in the eternal misery to which he has been tasked.

Until he meets the beautiful, strong and selfless Diana Piper.

Diana has been hiding a potent secret from the world for decades. She was born with abilities others would fight to win, and kill to keep. To make matters worse, she is a sensitive soul who, despite the danger it poses to herself, uses these powers to make the world a better place. Forever in harm’s way, overworked and head strong, Diana one night comes across the ultimate challenge in the form of a wayward fae beast – and in the process, crosses paths with its indomitable king. A light can only shine in the darkness so long before someone takes note of it. And Diana not only manages to gain the instant attentions of Damon Chroi… but of those who would do anything to see him – and the other 13 Kings – dead.

I just love Heather's books, they are full of intrigue, action, romance and humor all roll up into one exciting fantasy adventure escape. I started reading her books with the Big Bad Wolf and now the kick-off from them into the King Series. I just finish the Goblin King and am starting all over again with the Wolf series to work my way back to the Goblin King. So much fun!!!! Thank you Heather for a wonderful trip!!!

    Redemption

Wow! This book was great. I felt cheated in the Warlock king book, because it was mostly about Roman. It was great to hear about his ( Damon) story. Now, the plot thickens and I can't wait for the other books. Keep them coming Heather.

I have never met the author!

To the poor sorry soul who is leaving hateful reviews. Sounds like you have a personal problem. I've read most of the authors books. How can you seriously say there is no plot or characterbuilding throughout her works? Do you have any idea how crazy you sound. I hear hate and jealousy....serious character flaws within yourself.

If you want to read this person books I suggest you wait till they are free. Her first book that I read was great and I thought I was being a good fan by supporting her work even after I realize she has no good plot line to any of her stories or characters worth reading. The characters are lifeless and the stories go now where. The reason she is getting good reviews is because she befriends her fans then encourages them to lie on reviews and promote her work, then sends them free books, that people like us would be buying. Unfortunately I have notice and also been told by her that a fan of hers should go broke to buy her work and always review on every single book, even if its a lie. Also a fan should not support other well written works if we could not support her work.

    Loved it!!

I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next one. I wonder if Diane will go back and save the grandmother of the little girl with the dog.

On a side note: I love to read so much that I do go broke to read a good book and as a future writer I would hope that someone would love my work enough to do the same. So person who rated this book a one... jealousy is a horrible trait.

The lonely Damon... found his Queen, forever changing his world!

The lonely Damon... found his Queen, forever changing his world! awesome and inspring look at how his character transformed his outlook along with the strength of the queen at his side. HIs character's frame drew me in and I enjoyed his story... love the transformation of each king finding his queen in ecah of the series... compelling at the strength that resides in each character is so good to see; their "humanity" laid out... their weaknesses becoming strength.

    Loved this book!

Love this series. I had the hardest time putting this book down. Damon is a Goblin king who falls in love with a mortal Diana who has the ability to heal people, animals etc.... she chooses only to heal animals in fear of someone finding out about her abilities. Damon meets her and her whole life is turned upside down and is put in danger from an immortal who is trying to kill her. This book has it all love, danger, sexy shifters and more. A must read. Heather's writing sucks you in and does not let you go even when you finish the book, you keep thinking about the characters long after the story ends. I can't wait for the next book in The King series. I am sure it will be a great and awesome read. I thought the Big Bad Wolfs series was great, The King series is right up there with it! You are AWESOME Heather!

I love all the characters and the stories Heather brings to life

I love all the characters and the stories Heather brings to life, well except for this one.... Sure there's romance and action, and of course she always has found a way to make each story unique with clever plot twists... so what's the problem?? I just find it uber creepy for an adult character to be so into cartoon characters and worse yet, My Little Pony, sheesh!
