Overview

Using Bayesian logic, The God of Reason presents the human belief in God as a highly expressed species level survival trait evolved precisely to curb the paradoxical survival threats posed by the advent of reason in humans.Reason is shown to over-serve the individual's survival imperatives to the detriment of the species' well being. From the ashes of Freud's Id, the human instinct is resurrected as the source of all perceptive symmetry, sole purveyor of all species-wide survival mechanisms, and neurological host to the rational mind. The belief in God is shown to be a nominally accurate, instinctive perception of the physical universe in terms of our survival. The web of human behavior is untangled in terms of the relative survival jurisdictions of reason and instinct, individual and species, science and religion.
