Maybe it's like any story you think you know. You like to go back to the beginning and see if it really happened the way you remember. Back before the death, disaster, betrayal, lies, the lawyers, the perjury, your little brother accusing you of murder-

Lizzie Aimes has been raised to be honest. Pure. Obedient.

But right now she seems to be the only person playing by those rules.

When her family life disintegrates around her, Lizzie must draw on her deepest resources to protect herself and the one she loves.

Lizzie's life turns upside down on what she thought was just ano

Lizzie's life turns upside down on what she thought was just another day. Robin Brande weaves a story that made it difficult to work, sleep, think. The link of Bible teachings throughout the book was something I didn't expect but worked beautifully. I don't often read YA. In fact, I've only read YA by Brande. The way she tells the story is easy to understand, easy to visualize. Narrated from the prospective of a teenager helps you understand the impact of decisions and stress, responsibilities and the desire to do the right thing all while trying to keep parents, friends and others happy.
I loved Lizzie and Posie, like a young Thelma and Louise!
A terrific story, never disappointed with Robin Brande!
