Overview

This is the third in a series of short stories describing relaxing moments of the day in a French vineyard, English garden, Swiss mountain village and other captivating places. The stories are diary entries by a variety of characters in different parts of the world. Detailed descriptions capture the senses. Each story takes the reader on a journey into idyllic moments of a character's life and reflection. Conflict does not exist here. There's enough of it in the news. Here, you can toss your worries aside, and join in the characters' perfect world as they write down their bucolic experiences in “The Good Life Diaries”.

In this story, set in Switzerland, Adriana takes in the panamoramic, wintry view of Lake Geneva from St. John's courtyard. The cobblestone overlook, nestled in the Alps, gives Adriana a birds eye view of her village and the French mountain peaks across the lake. She leads us into the heart of the village to the cheese shop and then home to a mountain chateau for a relaxing afternoon fireside in the cozy library. Joined by her Bernese mountain dog, Adriana sinks into the plush, oversized chair and shares with us her surroundings and comforting preparations for dinner.
