About the Author

Born and raised in San Diego California I came to love and appreciate the art of writing at a very young age. Getting lost in a good book served as a simple way of escaping reality. This passion followed me as I later decided to attain my B.A. from The University of San Diego California majoring in Literature and Writing. With countless journals always on hand I began to write down every feeling and emotion. What was meant to serve as a release from my over clouded mind led me to write a poetic narrative about the trials and triumphs of my young adult life. This collection of poetry not only serves as the beginning of my writing career but also as a reminder to myself that my pain will never be wasted. I write poetry not for what I can gain but truly for what I can give to others…. a sense of hope and belonging.
