Overview

Darcy Merriweather is Enchanted Village’s newest resident Wishcrafter—a witch who can grant wishes for others. But as Darcy prepares a celebration for a magical florist, she discovers that every rose has its thorns…

When magical florist Harriette Harkette decides to throw a lavish eightieth birthday party for herself, she hires Darcy’s Aunt Ve’s personal concierge service, As You Wish, to plan the soiree. But turning eighty isn’t all Harriette is celebrating—the Floracrafter has recently created the midnight black Witching Hour rose, the first all-natural rose of that color.

Darcy works hard on planning an extravagant celebration that will make Harriette feel like the belle of the ball. But when cake delivery boy Michael Healey—a former employee at Harriette’s greenhouse—is found dead, the celebration takes a turn. Now Michael’s ghost has imprinted on Darcy, meaning that they’re bonded until she can untangle the thicket surrounding his murder—and what exactly it has to do with the Witching Hour rose….

I had the privilege to be able to read it before it came out and I think it's her best book yet! You feel like you know the characters, the humor laced in is wonderful, and every time I thought I'd figured out "who done it" I found myself being wrong.I just loved it

    Awesome!

I loved the previous books in the series, but this one is even better! The heartwarming moments brought a tear to my eye and there are some seriously funny sections. I loved the flow of the dialogue and I never solved the whodunit correctly, which is quite satisfying. This is definitely a must-read series!

In Blake’s paranormal mystery novel, magical florist Harriette Harkette is turning eighty and hires As You Wish to throw her a party. In addition to celebrating her birthday she is also celebrating her creation: a black rose.

Darcy works hard putting the event together but when the cake fails to arrive on time she goes in search only to stumble upon the delivery boy’s, Michael Healey, body. The celebration takes a turn for the worse because Michael didn’t die of natural causes. Now Michael’s ghost has imprinted on Darcy until she can solve his murder and together that’s what they’ll do.

Blake has taken this addition to the A Wishcraft Mystery to a whole new level of fun.

Darcy Merriweather is Enchanted Village’s newest resident Wishcrafter—a witch who can grant wishes for others. But as Darcy prepares a celebration for a magical florist, she discovers that every rose has its thorns…

As You Wish, Darcy and Aunt Ve’s personal concierge service has been hired to throw a party for magical florist, Harriette Harkness. She is 80 years young and plans to celebrate. She is also celebrating her new Witching Hour rose, it is the very first all natural midnight black flower.

Darcy has all the plans under control and ready to go. She is just waiting for Michael Healey to deliver the cake and the special entertainment to arrive. When she goes out to the parking lot to track down these very important party needs the celebration is turned inside out. She finds Michael’s dead body not far from the bakery van. She then receives another surprise when Michael’s ghost imprints itself on her. This means they are bonded together until she “untangles the thicket surrounding his murder”.

    Dollycas’s Thoughts
I have fallen hard for this series and its magical characters.

A contemporary fairy tale, The Good, the Bad, and the Witchy even has a set of Wicked Sisters! All my favorites are back from past stories, including the lovable familiars, Pepe and the movie line expert Archie. They are joined by all the witch crafters that call the Enchanted Village home.

The part that really caught my interest was the imprinting of the ghost on Darcy. I think this would be so cool!!! as long as it was a friendly ghost like Michael. They way they were able to communicate was just brilliant. The special craft the he and his sister had was also interesting.

I was also taken in by the floracrafters vs. the terracrafters and the dysfunctional families created by their prejudice of each other. To me both gifts would be so much fun with all the plants, the blooms, the lawns, the gardens.

The Enchanted Village is truly a magical place, full of whimsical characters. A place where wishes come true and spells are cast. A place where the familiar becomes extraordinary. A place where romance is starting to bloom. A place I would love to visit often. I wish I never had to leave!!!!

The whole series is recommended highly. I know you will be as enchanted as I have become with these wonderful stories!
