The pair soon find themselves following a trail of clues in pursuit of a vicious serial killer. But the demands of working on the case take a toll on the detectives as they confront many obstacles in dealing with family, the department, and even with each other.

David Thomas has dedicated thirty-four years of his life to serving the criminal justice system in Pima County, Arizona. Drawing on his extensive history as a detective, detective sergeant, probation officer, and defense investigator, David creates this novel that was ten years in the making.

David and his wife, Karen, live in Tucson where their daughter, Elaine, currently attends the University of Arizona. The Gordian Knot is David's first published novel.
