In these days when children seem to have no time for activities that cost very little money, this collection of the adventures and sometimes misadventures of boys growing up in rural Oklahoma in the 1940's and 1950's is a refreshing change. Told in simple language, the tales share insights into the families, friends and historical events of those days when children really enjoyed their lives without having to live by daily schedules! While the writing style appeals to young readers, the stories are told so that adults, especially those who grew up in the country or small towns, will nod their heads in agreement.

I am the author of the GF Stories. I have already sold many books before the stories came on line. I will share some comments readers have made to me. Elementary School Principal-"I read the stories to groups of my students and they loved them. Parents & Grandparents-"Reading stories to non reading children. Often requested to read the same story again. Young readers informed me positive comments." Retired Man-"The stories recalled similar events when I was a boy. Brought back some great memories." Former classmates of mime."Recalled events of our lives with a reminder of forgotten events."
