It is Steinbecks most riveting novel as he wonderfully captures the life of the Joads on their journey to the west and to find work. Perhaps a bit depressing, but not at all a waste. I would recommend this book to everyone. . .ever. And if you haven't yet read it, what are you waiting for???Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The Grapes of Wrath portrays a family pushed from their homes during the 1930s. It shows how migrant workers were treated as they trekked across the country in search of work. This book shows the fear, anger, and hopelessness felt by many common men. The system had been rigged against them, bringing profit to few and ruin to many. The Grapes of Wrath is a book which should be read by every American, to bring insight to how fortunate they are to live in a time period where it is possible to earn enough money to sustain a family. Was this review helpful?
