Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Eleanor Heldrich
Pull-tabs are the movable attraction in this perky little eight by eight inch book for pre-school children. The tabs can be pulled around in half circles causing the grasshopper hero of the story to move in ways that match the words, which are as simple to read and understand as the pictures are colorful and pleasing. The seven double-page spreads follow a grasshopper as he hops in and out of trouble with the help of the reader who is pulling the tabs. He hops in and out of a pot of soup, into and out of a refrigerator, in and out of a clock, and, finally, onto a log next to a frog. "Gulp!" "Just Kidding!" He had really hopped into the grass, and that was just the right place for a grasshopper to be. This is an ideal relatively inexpensive gift book for a young girl or boy. Reviewer: Eleanor Heldrich
