About the Author

Carolyn Ritacca, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is an African American writer who comes from a family full of writers, teachers, performers, administrators and academics. At an early age, Carolyn developed a lifetime affection for graphic novels, particularly those that feature superhero or science fiction themes. Carolyn taught African American Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for over ten years and she has also produced many music/dance live stage shows. She is an accomplished grant writer and entrepreneur.

Inspired by her religion, Carolyn has a profound belief in the spirituality of life; the enormous potential hidden in every human being; and the constant struggle to release the superhero in us all.
