Overview

The 1990s will be a time of political, economic, social, and financial upheaval. But even in a time of crisis, prepared individuals can prosper if they know:
-- the secrets of megapolitics -- how technology will revolutionize economic and social institutions
-- which businesses will thrive and which will fail
-- how to build a financial foundation in a time of economic crisis

In this revised and updated volume of the bestselling book, the authors make unsettling economic and social predictions for the next five years, and provide a personal economic survival plan that includes hundreds of investment tips and forecasts, and a list of troubled and sound banks. They also show how socioeconomic changes and social unrest will affect the economy.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
The publishers of the newsletter Strategic Investment predict far-reaching social and economic changes over the next five years. (Jan.)
From The Critics
The authors offer an apocalyptic vision of the 1990s, culminating in a great deflationary depression. The intellectual foundation for their prediction is an attempted synthesis of seeming long-run patterns in history, economics, politics, and demographics colored by a darker vision of the role of violence. Interspersed within this wide-ranging work are a large number of specific forecasts as well as a great deal of specific investment advice touted by the authors. This book is perhaps appropriate for large public libraries but is not necessary for college or university collections.-- Richard C. Schiming, Mankato State Univ., Minn.
From Barnes & Noble
This revised edition predicts that the rest of the 1990s will be even more financially difficult than the first half, resulting in the final depression of the 20th century. Presents a survival plan to see you through the hard times ahead.

This book will become a timeless classic

A thorough and complete socio-economic study of society, money, power and wealth. Destined to become a classic in the likes of Playfair's 'Enquiry into the permanent causes of the decline and fall of powerful and wealthy nations.' A must read for anyone who wants to understand how the world really works.
