Can't wait for the next book!

If you're looking for a quick entertaining read I highly reccommend this book. It was original, inventive and kept me excited the hwole way through to see what was going to happen next.

I felt connected to the characters and literally LOL'ed a couple times while reading. Jam packed with humor, action and steamy scenes.

Yes, it still needs to be edited, but if you can overlook some typos and allow yourself to enjoy the story you will really enjoy this book.

    Highly Recommend this Amazing Book

Hea y'all Anne here and well let me tell you about this amazing book The Guardian's Kiss by Jamie Lynn Dougherty, I don't even think great encompasses the feelings I have for this book!!! I am absolutely in awe of Jamie and her gift she has given the literary community. The book is full of action from page one, Guardian Angels, Zombies, Fallen Angels, and God's own right hand is brought into a gripping tale of recognizing not only who you are but what you were meant to do no matter where you came from. Samantha Brand is the main character not to be trumped by her twin sister Barbara Brand aka Babs, Sam is down to earth and a bit on edge most of the time sharing a twin bond with Babs is her only way to calm down and think!!! Babs is a smart mouthed quick witted gal and I relate to her character so much I love her one liner cut downs. Sam is handed a rough hand to deal with as she sees death and virus unfolding before her starting with her baby sister Carrie. Can Sam fight for the world when she only feels how much has been taken from her over her life? Enter Trent the Guardian and he has been watching her since she was a young little gifted girl fetching her ball from a lake, he sees her accomplish things that send him into a rush of wonderment and pride in her. Trent knows things about Sam that she herself has no idea that she must take part in, she is meant for great things and she must preform or watch the world crumble around her. How can life be so harsh? Well lets thrown in a super hot guide chosen to accompany Sam in her journey and see how sticky the situation can get for Trent and his Sam.

This book is slam for of emotion and turmoil the characters are constantly hit with a barrage of painstaking choices and decisions to make. A group of people formed by Gods own design is still going to have it's ups and downs with each other. The story is full of rich deep detail into characters pasts and past lives I truly enjoyed reading this and found with each page I turned there was a new paradox for the characters to take up in challenge. I cried and laughed, I held my breath and sighed in utter relief it can't get any better than that in a book. I am not joking when I say it's like watching a gripping drama on tv and you always have your favorite character and this book is no different it's such an amazing read and I was sad when it ended because I wanted to keep reading and keep following where the group was going. No character is ignored each has a full blown part in this book and each gets to pull you in and drown you in their own journey. 5 out of 5 stars for The Guardian's Kiss by Jaime Lynn Dougherty and I can not wait for book 2 The Guardian's Soul.

    A great start...

The Guardian's Kiss is the story of Samantha, an ER intern, who loses her sister to deadly disease. Sam has secrets and certain abilities that most people do not know about. Sam is ultimately saved by Trent. She feels an instant attraction towards Trent, but also senses that he has secrets of his own.

What I liked about the story: I really liked the story line and think there is a lot of potential in this book. I liked occasionally getting Trent's point of view and actually would not have minded hearing from him a little more often. The story really picked up when H.B. was introduced. I liked his character and the tension created between him and Trent.

What I did not like about the story: The characters were not very well developed, and their personalities/characteristics were inconsistent. Example: Sam showed absolutely no remorse for either of her sisters when they died, and she left Barbara to run off with Trent with barely a second thought. Sam is supposed to work in an ER, which would be a very challenging, stressful job, yet any time she is faced with any kind of confrontation or conflict in the book she completely falls apart. Also, some back-story on the characters so we could have gotten to know them better would have been great.

The book that I read was an unedited version, so I really tried to ignore the many, many errors in the book. My suggestion to the author would be that, even though a book has not been professionally edited, to at least proofread it yourself or give it to a friend to look over before sending it out to be reviewed. It was really hard to read as is, and it really detracted from the story as a whole.

All of that being said, I think this book definitely has potential. After some editing and bringing the story into more focus, I would love to read it again.
