The Guest House: a gripping, suspenseful thriller set in the Highlands
In this gripping thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author, a woman must risk everything for answers as she is unwittingly dragged into the world of organised crime.

How far would you go for the truth?

How far would you go to survive?

After her husband left, mum-of-three Ronni Ashcroft pieced her life back together, making a success of her business, a coastal guest house in the Scottish Highlands.

Her new partner, Bishop, seemed to complete her life in Scotland. But Bishop has secrets: shady connections, and shadier plans. He wants to use Ronni's coastal base as a European gateway for drugs, weapons – and something far worse.

When Bishop disappears, Ronni wants answers. Is he in trouble, or is it all a ruse? And, most importantly, has he dragged her into something that neither of them will survive?

About the Author

D.L. Mark spent more than fifteen years as a journalist, including seven years as a crime reporter with the Yorkshire Post. His writing is heavily influenced by the court cases he covered: the defeatist and jaded police officers; the competent and incompetent investigators; the inertia of the justice system and the sheer raw grief of those touched by savagery and tragedy. He writes psychological suspense thrillers and historical novels, plus the DS McAvoy series (as David Mark).
