Overview

The Guild - Alternative Music Journalism (2000-2010) is a collection of music reviews, band interviews, and articles written between 2000 - 2010 by Alex Scozia while he ran the music website, The Guild and served as a staff music writer for Caffe!ne Magazine and Clubline Magazine. This anthology mainly features music from the pop-punk, screamo, hip-hop, and alternative music genres. This is the ultimate time capsule of an era of music that left many people scratching their heads, just as they did after the Disco wave back in the 70's and 80's. A must for any music fan at the turn of the century.

About the Author

Taken from a 2008 Clubline Magazine...

Growing up in Wilmette, IL, Alex Scozia spent the majority of his days listening, playing, and hanging out to music. In junior high, he was either skateboarding with his friends or daydreaming in his room to his favorite music. High school brought more mature ideas. One boring day after school as a sophomore in high school, Alex had an epiphany. He asked himself, “Why don’t I start my own music review website?” The answer came easily. Two weeks later, the first version of reviewsbyguild.com was online. And now, five years later, the website is stronger than ever. It has led Alex to be published in many music journals, websites and press releases and has provided him with an outlet to display his passion for the music he loves. Don’t expect Alex to put away his pen anytime soon. He’s in it for the long haul.
