    1st rate material

Jon Damian's books are first rate, filled with important information for the serious student. This last point is important; study of "The Guitarist's Guide to Composing and Improvising" requires considerable effort but will yield significant results. Damian is a master.

    my favorite guitar book

This book is like the bible to me. It's great for when you get bored or 'stuck' doing the normal routine of scales and exercises. It set's the mind free. I have seen so many new possibilities in my playing through this book. And it's fun as well. You need to be a little 'right-brained' and open minded to really benefit probably, but this is definitely my favorite guitar book ever.

With Jon Damian's book, 'The Guitarist's Guide to Composing and Improvising', you will find yourself returning to a time when playing guitar was fun. Using unconventional, even child-like exercises such as crossword puzzles, and scratch and sniff, Damian will help you develop a sense of dynamics, articulation, rhythm and melodic direction. As you learn new, innovative techniques, you will watch your confidence soar as your abilities to improvise and compose increase.
