I loved the first Daring Debutant book THE ROBBER BRIDE, and I was thrilled that Victoria and Fin had cameos in this, the second in the series. THE GYPSY BRIDE does not disappoint.
Bianca, the oldest of 4 Shakespearian named sisters, decides to take one for the team by marrying an odious peer. But it'll be one less mouth to feed for her parents and hopefully help secure the futures of her sisters. But as time gets closer for her to go through with the wedding, she finds she just can't stomach it. So she bolts from home with the goal of hiding out in a gypsy camp. Her plan goes swimmingly as she is discovered spying on a gypsy camp by the leader Emilian - one sexy Rom.
Her jilted fiance calls in every favor from every friend he's ever had to scour the countryside for his runaway bride, including Thomas Barclay (brother to Victoria from the first book). Thomas begins to think he's fallen for Bianca as he searches for her, carrying a miniature of the girl on his travels.
Unfortunately for Thomas, Bianca and Emil have begun to bond by the time he finds her in the camp. But Thomas can offer Bianca more than Emil can. Before Bianca knows what to do her whole life is turned upside down and she has to choose between two very decent men and decide which once can offer her all the happiness in the world.
I love this series and can't wait to find out what happens with Bianca's little sisters.
Really enjoyed this book. Fun, quick read, and definitely pulled at my heartstrings in many places. Loved the first in the series, too, and definitely looking forward to the third. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
