This is a good cookbook, but a lot of the recipes are impractical for myself and my husband since has have enormous yields. For example, most bread recipes yield 3 or 4 loaves. Most of the desserts are baked in 9x13 bakings pans. I know we Jews love to cook, nuture, and feed other people, but this cookbook doesn't work very well for my husband and I. I was only able to use a few recipes. However, all of the recipes are top-notch and very Jewish like. If you have a big family, they will love everything in here as there will be no left overs! Make the 'traditional stuffed cabbage' for an out of this world comfort food treat on a cold day.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. A very nice cookbook with great traditional recipes, but not very practical if there are just 2 of you in the house. This is designed for families as lots of the bread recipes yield 2 - 3 loaves and the desserts are baked in large pans. Wonderful recipes though, organized by shabbat, and then the seasons with recipes for each special holiday occuring in each season. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
