i have been using the program outlined in this book to treat my muscular dystrophy for just a month, and my physical therapist and i are amazed at the results. i am making remarkable improvements in strength, stamina, and muscle mass (while 'conventional' medicine says that there is *nothing* that can be done, that dystrophied muscles can't be strengthened). but the book offers help for almost everyone. the first section details very gentle exercises (even i can do 90% of them) to improve your breathing (to increase oxygenation to all parts of your body), circulation, joints, muscles, nervous system, spine, and vision and how to massage; the second deals with specific conditions, eg arthritis, ms, musicians, diabetes, muscular dystrophy. another physical therapist told me about the book, which i in turn introduced to my own pt, who liked it so much that she purchased her own copy, as has my nurse's assistant; they are now using the programs to help other clients, relatives, and themselves. i am recommending it to everyone.
