    Has Not a Good Introduction

This collection includes some remarkable stories that span about a century and a half of economic facts of life in the U.S. It's a shame that the editor does little to integrate the material into some useful introductory commentary. By contrast,"Minding the Store" (which isn't available as an E-book) has arguably less focused stories, but the commentary by Robert Coles is pure gold.
