Overview

The bestselling authors of WHEN THE SKY FELL and THE ATLANTIS BLUEPRINT bring you a roller coaster ride through the darkest byways and alleys of alternative history.

When rogue archaeologist Anne Fawcett is murdered in the Tower of London her closest friend, unemployed actor Garrick Keller and her estranged daughter, Seona, track her killer through London’s winter streets. Their dangerous obsession leads to the explosive secret prize that Anne was determined to claim as her own.

Seona’s mysterious birth father who jealously guards critical pieces of the puzzle is hunted down in Scotland but he soon ensnares them in his own cunning game. Certain that the end of their terrifying quest lies in New York they are lured into the lair of the Headhunters; the most ruthless and secret faction of Yale’s infamous Skull and Bones society.

Against a background of little known ancient and medieval history, the puzzle of Anne’s fate comes to dominate the life of two strangers thrown together by their grief. Seona and Garrick must embrace the dangerous roles that fate has cast for them if they are to have any chance of outwitting the ruthless men who want them dead.

It’s no time for amateurs.
