This was an extremely helpful book. It helped me to put words to what I was feeling and made me feel like I wasn't alone in my situation. It helped me realize that it was possible to heal from the most difficult choice I have had to make in my life. Deciding to end a pregnancy is a complicated choice and the feelings that accompany that choice are even more complex. This book does not condemn or judge a woman for her choice it simply helps one to work through feelings of isolation, anger, guilt, sadness and grief. Reading this book was the beginning of my journey to heal my broken heart and forgive myself for making the decision to have an abortion. This book would also benefit family or friends who want to support and understand the emotions of someone that they love who has had an abortion. Was this review helpful? This book was far more helpful to me than another post-abortion healing book I bought. This book helped me process my emotions, such as grief, sadness, and relief. No matter if you chose an abortion because it was medically necessary for your health, or because you could not care for a child, or whatever the reason, you will realize that you are not alone. The book includes excerpts from women who have experienced an abortion, and has questions to ask yourself. The authors made me realize that our culture forces us to keep abortion a big 'secret', even though more than 40% of all women have an abortion at some point in their lives. If you are experiencing post-abortion grief, you should get this book and/or find a supportive counselor to help you heal. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book used words to identify my feelings. It helped me deal with and recover from something I did not want to accept. Years down the road, I still sometimes look back to this book for reassurance. Now, I recommend this book to my good friend in a similar situation. Was this review helpful?
