This is my favorite gluten free/allergen friendly cookbook (I have 15)! My family is gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and we can't have seafood either. I've done 38 of the recipes in this cookbook, many of which are now in my family's regular rotation. My family has loved nearly all of them. The layout is fantastic (but, note to to the publisher, the fractions should be a larger font size.) The photo recipe index in the back is genius!! A lot of the kitchen tips and tricks were helpful as was some of the information about ingredients and resources! I do have a few tips if you do get this book. The most important one has to do with elevation. I lived in Bend (the author is from Bend). The elevation there is 3,623 ft. So if you are from a high elevation area do not hesitate to get this cookbook right now, it's perfect for you. When I first moved to Bend I was frustrated because all of my favorite recipes turned out dry or burnt and I had to adjust everything. I now live in Salem. My elevation is 781 ft at my house. That's a big difference in elevation! If you know anything about baking and elevation then you know they don't turn out the same in high and low elevation! This doesn't mean you shouldn't get this book!! On the just have to adjust some things. Make sure you have an oven thermometer. I have to add 25 degrees to the stated baking temp for any baked good and watch my cooking time (most of the time it has to come out of the oven a bit earlier.) i.e. For the double trouble chocolate chip cookies (which are AMAZING) I cook them at 375 degrees F for 9 minutes. I have to add a bit more liquid to some baked goods as well (i.e. I use a few more tablespoons liquid for scones). My simplest tip is for the flour tortillas. I use an ice cream scoop to measure my tortillas (this way they're all about the same size) and clear plastic wrap. The clear plastic wrap lets you see the shape as you're rolling it and doesn't crease your tortillas as easily the more tortillas you roll. Don't be afraid to adjust the seasonings in recipes! Not everyone likes things the same. Some of our favorites are: scones, batter mix (fantastic chicken nuggets, fried veggies, etc), corn dogs (my daughter's favorite), pizza crust (use a baking stone and parchment paper instead of a pan if you want it extra crunchy on the bottom), flour tortillas, easy beans, famous mashed potatoes, taco seasoning, chocolate chip cookies & double trouble chocolate chip cookies (if you love chocolate, this is the VERY BEST....Seriously...the VERY BEST). I still have a lot more to try out, but this cookbook is wonderful!

It seems like now a days, everyone has someone they care about with a gluten intolerance. This cook book is so beautifully done, with gorgeous photographs (on every page!) that show fabulous foods in every type. It just begs you to want to prepare foods that are better for your family, wether you have Celiac or not! I cannot wait to get started cooking and baking! I have a copy at my salon and ALL of my clients LOVE to look through it and many have already ordered it while sitting in my chair! It would make a terrific gift for anyone, especially our gluten intolerant friends. ORDER IT :)

I just got my book so I haven't made anything from it yet, but I know it will be good because the author used to have a bakery where I live, and the actual recipe for her amazing english muffins is in here! There are also some really yummy looking main dishes, side dishes, and desserts in here. It is a big beautiful full color cookbook with mouth watering pictures. It also has very helpful information for living allergen free and a unique gluten free flour guide that rates flours by grittiness and flavor...I love it! This is a great book for anyone just starting on the allergen free journey and for those of us who still want to learn more. I can't wait to start baking!

I recently saw a naturopath who recommended a gluten-, rice-, soy-, corn-, dairy-free diet to help put my ulcerative colitis into remission. Initially, I was frozen and didn't know what I would be able to eat. With the help of Tammy's book, I found hundreds of great recipes to replace or alter some of my favorite meals. Her recipes range from extremely simple (short preparation, minimal ingredients) to more complex dishes. She has helped me become more creative for re-imagining some of my own recipes - especially with her sauce recipes. The one drawback for me (which probably wouldn't apply to a lot of people) is the extensive list of baked goods. I'm not a big sweets fan and don't crave muffins, etc. but for someone looking to replace gluten-filled desserts this cookbook is your bible.

You wont be sorry this is the best purchase (I bought 2) i have made for my gluten free family. This cookbook is amazing the way Tammy put it together was perfect and I've had a lot of the bakery items they sold while the bakery was up and running. I haven't seen a better cook book and it's for different type of food allergies not just a gluten free cookbook she also takes in to account sugar and oils and flours it is truly The Healthy Gluten-Free Life! It is so hard to find a good, healthy cookbook that not only caters to gluten free but also dairy free AND egg free!! Thank you so much for this book, it is already well used and I've only had it a week! I LOVE that they used better flours like sorghum and not just white rice, like all the other books on the market. Get it, you will love it!

Finally a DELICIOUS cookbook for gluten-free living! My family has loved the recipes I've tried so far: Bay Shrimp Veggie Salad, Garlicky Crock Pot Pork Roast, Banana Crumb Coffee Cake, and the Ice Cream Sandwiches. The author gives great tips in the first section of the book and shares her sweet family's story. This cookbook will have a longstanding front and center spot in my kitchen!

This is a beautiful book. Tammy took her personal experience and created this masterpiece to help others as well. The book not only has fabulous recipes but some wonderful personal touches that make you feel really connected to her and her family. You will not be disappointed with this book!!

I was so happy to have found a book that has recipes for all of the food that my daughter has been missing. We love the pizza dough and the pancake mix the most, and the chocolate chip cookies are super too! Nothing you can buy in the grocery store can compare to what you can make in your own kitchen. None of that grainy, weird texture, off taste (not to mention, expensive) junk that is available pre-made. Thank you for making me a "super mom" again!

This is a wonderful cookbook from the recipes to the great photos. I love all the different choices for a healthier lifesytle. The recipes are simple, easy to follow and I love the photos. The author did a wonderful job and I have already recommended this cookbook to many of my friends. Great job Tammy!

This cookbook is absolutely FABULOUS! So far, I have made the chocolate chip cookies (melt in your mouth good), orange olive oil bread (SO, SO, SO, good), and one of the breakfast quinoa's. Each recipe is easy to read and follow, and people who are not gluten intolerant even love what I've shared with them so far. Tonight is the fudge brownies, and I have NO DOUBT they will be delectable!! Following a plant-based lifestyle, I enjoy the fact that these recipes give wonderful results each time making an item for everyone to enjoy. I'm even using the meat recipes replacing the animal meat for vegetarian options and still having a delicious dish. Having the full page picture of each item is a PLUS too! I just love this book, & it's become one of my favorites as I cannot say enough good things about it.

I wish there were more cookbooks like this one! She does a great job in putting together recipes that the entire family can enjoy. The recipes are also very simplistic and easy to make when time is short.

Out of all the cookbooks I have bought related to gluten-free cooking, this one is the best. Recipes are practical AND healthy. Other books may have recipes that were gluten-free, but then the recipes included other no-so-healthy ingredients, such as white sugar. I needed gluten-free and low-glycemic. This book was it!

I just received this book yesterday. This is the most beautiful cookbook i've bought in a long time. The pix are just wonderful they absolutely scream make me make me. I'm so anxious to dig in and start cooking. We are new to the gluten free world. I know it will be a huge challenge but when i see recipes like this my fears tend to slip away. If you are questioning wether or not to buy, trust me. You wont be disappointed!!!

I'm writing because not only is this book full of great down home recipes with beautiful photos but I am so impressed by the photographic index of recipes. Brilliant! The photographic index will help me mix and match menu options. It beautifully speaks to my visual learning nature. Just wanted the author to know it was noticed. Noticed and appreciated. This entire book covers the full spectrum of food and beverage choices. I know these rceipes will provide delicious meals to my gluten sensitive daughter and me as well her non-gluten sensitive dad and brother. Thank you so much.

This is a huge, beautiful, fantastic cookbook! I have already prepared several recipes from the book and each one has recieved a thumbs up from all family members. The pictures for each recipe are beautiful and are a nice addition to give you a peek at what the final product should look like. The recipes are easy to follow and makes prep. a breeze. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone with Gluten issues and even those who don't, the main and side dishes alone are worth purchasing this cookbook. The baked goods are easy to prepare and most important...Taste good! Great job!
