LaRue Hosmer is an Emeritus faculty member at the Ross School of Business administration at the University of Michigan where he taught Corporate Strategy, Entrepreneurial Ventures and Managerial Responsibility. He has a PhD from Harvard University.
Patrick Barry has a J.D. from the University of Chicago and now teaches at the University of Michigan, where he also advises the Human Trafficking Clinic, the first law school clinic in the country to provide comprehensive representation to victims of human trafficking.

The Heart of Buddhist Meditation was the first serious, didactic Dharma book I read. It was the early nineteen-eighties. My teacher, Jack Kornfield, suggested it as the beginning formal training of my becoming a Mindfulness teacher. I have that original copy and I am touched by how many underlined passages, how many exclamation points in margins, how many addendums of my own written in tiny scrawl appear in its fading pages.
