Meet the Author

Priya Chhaya is a public historian who believes in kindness, optimism, and William Shakespeare. When she is not trying to make thirty hours of life fit into a twenty-four hour day she is writing about how history intersects with the everyday, or the linkages between Star Wars and human mythology. She enjoys storytelling in all its forms, whether it be between the pages of a book, on television, or in the theatre, and on a warm day you can find her on her balcony in Northern Virginia. What a delightful book for reading to oneself and/or to young children. Older kids would like it too. A little girl goes off exploring, with words of wisdom from her family and runs into a dragon in distress. With love of all living things she gets help, saves the dragon, makes new friends and has a lovely adventure! Great pictures and illustrations – could read to Hospice or Nursing home patients, making a happy read!
