    Incredibly well written

If you are privy to horse and heard behavior you will find this
to be a clever and imaginative book. Wonderful imagery and compelling characters.

Highly Recommended- you will read it again

I read this book years ago and lent it to a friend who never returned it. I am so glad to have it back for my own. This is a wonderful story for those who love horses and even better the second time around.

    Amazing book

Hard to find even in paperback, I'm so glad to see it in e form. Can't wait for its sequal, Piper At The Gates to come to e-book too! This book develops an entire culture and history for the horse along with its own boogeyman and nightmares. Well worth the read, even if you're not a big horse fan!

A definite read if you like horses and adventure!!

I read this as a young teen, lost my copy. Bought a second copy and a friend of my daughter's borrowed it and lost it. I have since purchased a third copy. It's not leaving the house! I loved this book and have read it several times. My oldest daughter loves this book as well as my youngest who always asks us to tell her stories about the adventures of Duchess, Susie, Pony, Dancer, and Cory. Although outside of the normal horse/animal adventures I loved to read growing up, the fantasy aspect really jogs the imagination into overtime!
