Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
When her car ends up in a ditch one foggy night, Olivia Johnson is startled to be rescued by a mysterious man on horseback; she is even more amazed to learn that he is Baron Northcliffe, the dashing Georgian highwayman pictured in an ancient bookand that the year is 1796, the year the baron is doomed to die. The intrepid and quite modern Liv sets out to save him and ends up changing history. Harper's (The Marriage Test, Harlequin, 1996) story, more historical than contemporary, features a quick pace, good period detail, and believable dialog; unfortunately, both plot and characters are shallow. Readers who enjoy adventurous Georgian romances might also like the works of Jo Beverley.
