All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
In 2001, not long after Faith Hill became an international superstar, European markets were treated to There You'll Be: The Best of Faith Hill, a 15-track collection that brought new listeners up to speed on Hill's American hits. Six years later, Hill had her first American compilation released. Simply titled The Hits, this 2007 set weighs in at 15 tracks, the same length as There You'll Be, but it does cover more ground, as Faith released two albums (2002's Cry and 2005's Fireflies) in the time separating the two compilations. That means this has two big hits not heard on the previous set -- 2002's "Cry" and 2006's "Mississippi Girl" -- along with a live ...

That means this has two big hits not heard on the previous set -- 2002's "Cry" and 2006's "Mississippi Girl" -- along with a live version of "Stronger" and the new song "Red Umbrella." It's not just that The Hits has these new songs, but the rest of the record skews a little bit closer to Hill's country roots than her international comp (in other words, there's no "Over the Rainbow" here and no remixes), which makes this better suited for an American audience, and also a better compilation overall, as this captures Hill at her best as a country-pop singer and an adult contemporary diva.

    A reviewer

This is one of the best cd/dvd packs that there is, because you not only get the music, but you also get the music videos that were probably hand-picked by Faith Hill herself. I've heard the whole album, and one of my favorite new songs is "Lost". I also really like the dvd that there is that comes with the cd.

    Thank You Faith!!

Having basically every song recorded by Faith and then some, some might think that a Hits album would not be necessary for me to purchase. However, Faith’s latest single Red Umbrella is a solid and wonderful addition to this record. It’s an uplifting song that can’t help cheering me up at anytime of the day. To add a live version of Stronger from her very successful Soul2Soul tour was a wonderful bonus. This song is amazingly soulful and truly shows the depth of her talent. There is something to be said of a Hits compilation which can take many of us back down memory lane and also expose a new generation to music that expanded the country music genre to so many who would otherwise dismiss it. Get this album!! It’s a wonderful start/addition to your Faith Hill Collection. :) The DVD included is great! You can't go wrong with getting this combo package. The very beautiful Faith Hill who in her career has had many music videos (20 I believe) reach number 1 on the charts, sings my favorite songs and it's nice to have the videos play as well. :)
