I'm 11 and go these for Christmas. I've already read all the Harry Potter books and seen all the movies. I wanted these books because I wanted to learn more about wizarding. These books are very detailed and although I haven't finished all of them yet I'm enjoying them. Because they aren't stories, they aren't books that you sit down and read all the way through. You are more likely to read through them a chapter at a time. These are books that would be in the Hogwarts library so it's cool to read books that Harry and his friends might have read. Anyone who's a big fan of Harry Potter would like to have these books. I'm not sure yet if these are books I would read multiple times but I've never seen these at the library and wanted to read them so that's why I got them. I don't think you have to have read all the Harry Potter books to enjoy these and I don't think by reading these books it would spoil anything before you've read the Harry Potter books. Younger kids might find these boring as they are very detailed.

My son completed all the Harry books and was so sad when it was over.  These books allow him to revisit the wizarding world.  Thank you Ms. Rowling.  You are a genius.
