Overview

In 4th century Ireland, teenaged Bran travels across Eire and falls in with a gang of coastal raiders--primitive pirates--on a small west-coast island. Proud to be among them at first, he soon comes to see their cruelty, particularly with the young captives they sell into slavery. With the help of a devoted wolfhound and a brace of other dogs, he finds his courage and a way to confront his masters. For ages 14 and up.
