I agree with the other reviewers -- this is a CD every country music fan should have. It blends the best of classic and modern country music. It starts off with "The House Rules," an in-your-face tune that marries country music and rock. Like the song says, "it's country music, a little soul; it's a rock-and-roll rodeo." From there, the disc moves to "Something's Gotta Give," a classic country song that a lot of us can identify with, about trying and trying and never being able to get ahead. "Thinking of You" is the tune that Christian sang on the TV series Leverage, and it's even better here than it was on the TV show. I think my favorites are the last two songs on the CD. "Making Circles" is another classic country song about two people stuck in a relationship that doesn't work, unable to break away. "Fast Car" is a cover of the Tracy Chapman hit; Christian keeps it lean and pure -- it's a song that needs no embellishment. This is a great CD -- one to play over and over.

The music has a nice change from one song to another. It's a fun CD to listen to if you are in the mood to party or want to slow down your mood. Waiting for the next one to come out in the future.

Leverage and Angel star, Christian Kane isn't just another actor-turned-musician. This guy was made for country music. He has a great sound and good, original lyrics (most of which were written himself). While this is his first major release, he's actually been performing with his band for about a decade. The title song, "House Rules" alone is worth the price of the album and you can catch the video on CMT.

This CD is a great Country/Southern Rock mixture. From the title song the "House Rules" making you want to get up and dance to the softer heart rendering "Let Me Go" Christian gives a great mix of songs that only leaves you wanting to hear more!
