Overview

It's a Christmas miracle in Montana with New York Times bestselling author Diana Palmer's beloved story, THE HUMBUG MAN.

Montana rancher Tate Hollister was the grouchiest man that widowed Maggie Jeffries had ever met. It's Christmastime, and Maggie was determined not to let her Scrooge-like neighbor ruin her young son's holiday. Nearly ten years old, Blake adored Tate for some reason Maggie couldn't fathom.

But there's more to Tate than his brusque manner. As the holiday season progressed, Maggie discovered that Tate—with his smoldering black eyes and roguish good looks—wasn't completely immune to the Christmas spirit. In fact, his loving embrace might just be the gift of a lifetime…

I resent the cost of this short story. There was no indication that it was not a novel. Diana Palmer will probably be taken off my favorite reads because of this.

This may be a short story, but some of the best gems out there are. Look at O'Henry. Most of his most famous works were shorts. I loved how she was able topack so much in such a small package. It's nice to have the option to read a shorter story when I need a romance fix with a minimal amount of time. Personally I loved this and would recommend it. As a fan of her work to begin with I found the perice to be worth it. Worth is relative. Whereas I find it worth it becaise of the warm fuzzies her stories give me, others may not because of the length. Quality is always better han quantity.
