Best Selling author in romantic suspense and science fiction romance

This is Book #5 in the Shifter Evolutions series.
1-The Invasion of 2020
2-The SCM of 2030
3-The Shifters of 2040
4-The Hybrids of 2050
5-The Hunted of 2060
6-The Revolution of 2060

This series begins in the middle (Shifters of 2040, Hybrids of 2050) and then the reader decides to read the past (Invasion of 2020, SCM of 2030) or the future (Hunted of 2060, Revolution of 2060).
Set in Alaska in 2060, when April enters her sopho- more year at University, she thought Robert might be the love of her life, but as she discovers, she is hiding something inside her, something the rest of the world believes to have died out. She struggles with who she was and who she is becoming as she learns of a family she never knew existed and of enemies she will have to outrun, outfight or outwit to survive. As April embraces her new identity, will she have to leave the life she loves behind?

With underlining themes of how prejudice breaks human con- nections and animal/wildlife conservation, this novel which has received rave reviews will leave the reader flipping through the pages of April’s story.

"WOW, crazy good plot!" -Book Crazy

"This is a fast-moving story, never a dull moment. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.” -Imogen Rose (Author of Portal Chronicles)

"This story starts out pretty much along the same line that many of the young adult books today do…Usually it’s a vampire or a shifter. Well, it is a shifter ---of a different kind. Blackwelder manages to take an oft used hook and weaves her own awesome story that was well worth your time……This book kept me flipping the pages till I got to the amazing end." -Lisa Richards

"The first thing I liked about this book was that it opened with a very detailed description of the world in which it will take place. While some would argue that these are things best left built into the body of the novel, it reminded me of the opening to Fellowship of the Ring." -Bernard Gooddreads

"The Hunted of 2060 is much more than the common paranormal romance novels that are popular right now...there was more focus on deeper topics like prejudice and betrayal...It was actually refreshing." -Cassie (Goodreads)

"April was one of the strongest herione's I have read. You could feel her struggle between to worlds. Not only being with being a hybrid. She also struggled with making the right choice in relationships. " -Cleverly (Goodreads)

    Really liked it!

The shifters are the product of a mixture of humans with some aliens, hybrids that remain in this time when history is told, are the only survivors of persecution carried out by the militia.

April is a girl who lives in the human world, with foster parents so she do not have a clear indication of her true past. When changes in her body begin to manifest, at the age of 19 years, the only one who is close to her is her boyfriend Robert. Until she meets members of her pack who have come for her and discovers she has a twin sister, that yes, the shifters are always twins.

April will be between a rock and a hard place, torn between her love for Robert and her intense attraction to a member of her pack. And torn between her loyalty to the human world where it has grown and her real people.

I enjoyed this novel because the world surrounding the shifters is something new, not only because it is located in the future, but the characteristics they have as a species was different and completely seduced me. Another thing I loved was the fact that reading is very fast, very easy in fact, the story flows in a fairly creative.

The love story between April and Robert was very pretty, but somehow it felt like very dependent ... I would have thought that the fact that two people could bring too many completely different and separate problems, but I think everything is resolved not only in a very surprising, but actually quite good. Various finishes have imagined in my head, except that in particular, gave a very good twist to the story.

My only problem was that there were moments when the characters were weak, Arken was a little irritating, but well, what about what he does next?... I think that was the only thing that made me reevaluate my rating for the book. I would have liked that the chemistry between April and Arken feel really, given the circumstances.

In short, it was a good read and if you like science fiction, which also has a love triangle, no doubt will love this book.
