Overview

The fallen have trespassed into Heaven for the first time in eternity. Prepared for battle, Michaela and her Archangels open Heaven’s gates to confront the fallen. Only, Michaela’s Archangels—her brothers and sisters in Heaven—betray her. And when the fallen attack the sanctuary in the skies through the gates Michaela inadvertently left open, the holy angels accuse Michaela of planning the invasion.

One simple mistake with a thousand consequences.

Dragged to Earth by an Archangel turned fallen, Michaela will do anything to return to Heaven and save it. In her fervor, she kills the Archangel—something no angel has ever done before. Wingless, without any hope, Michaela welcomes death when an unlikely human ally, Clark, finds her. With the help of Clark and Gabriel, an innocent Archangel whose friendship deepens into something far more torrid and unexpected on Earth, Michaela must prove the holy angels have their own plan for Heaven, and it is one that may prove to be the End of the Days.

It may be too late to save herself, but Michaela is the only one who knows the truth about the holy angels. If she fails, she may never be able to return to Heaven. But even that may be a hopeless dream.

Fallen For Books - Shweta Choudhary
This book has everything to make you fall in love with it. I love angels, anything and everything about them and its lovely to read books about angels yet so different from others. This book was no exception. So unique and brilliant that you will not want to stop.
Irisjexx - Iris Kwakernaat
I was hooked from the first paragraph. Meg’s writing just pulls you in, her writing style demands your attention and makes sure it keeps it hold on you’ve finished the very last page of the book. The writing is just so vivid and descriptive, which makes it so easy and fun to read. The pages just came alive in my imagination and I could see everything happening.
The Literary Connoisseur - Rebecca Tyndall
Amazing, amazing, amazing story. I love this book so much, it's quickly becoming an absolute favorite of mine. I very much look forward to The Lost One, and I hope beyond hope that I will have all the reading time in the world to read and reread Meg Collett's books endlessly.
Read-Love-Blog - Jillian Stein
The Hunted One is the first book in author Meg Collette’s End of Days Series and one that piqued my interest immediately after reading the synopsis. It seemed like a new sort of twist on the whole Heaven and Hell story….well, it was….and it was awesome.
Rockin' & Reviewing - Sam Fatality
First off, one of the things I truly adored about this book was how fresh the plot and ideas in this book were. I have never read anything that came close to this before, and I love to read books that are against the norm plot.

Given To Me For An Honest Review Meg Collett's book The Hunted

Given To Me For An Honest Review

Meg Collett's book The Hunted One (End of Days Book 1) will grab you from the beginning and not let go until you finish reading it.  The
pages will turn and turn and turn some more.  You will be on the edge of your seat as you are reading.  I know I was.  This story has lots
of turmoil, suspense and a whole bunch of emotion in it.  Heaven's gate is left open and the Fallen get in.  Michaela is blamed for it.  She
is then stripped of everything she has and is cast out.  She is now having to find her way back or rather fight it back.  I enjoyed reading this
book very much.  In fact it is one you will read more than once, it's that good.  I gave it 5 stars but it truly deserves more than that.  I highly
recommend it to all.  I look forward to more from Meg Collett.

Cast out of Heaven with all the angels turned against her; Heave

Cast out of Heaven with all the angels turned against her; Heaven's former general Michaela doesn't know what to do or where to turn when the angels she trusts most betray her.
Stranded on Earth and healing from her wounds she finds an unlikely friend and ally in Clark the human running from his own destiny. Together they have to figure out what Lucifer is up to before it's too late for everyone including Heaven and Hell.

Dark and intense this book definitely took me for a ride! It went from bad to worse for Michaela and she absolutely suffers for the decisions she made even if she didn't know how terrible outcomes would be. And Lucifer is just as cruel devious as you would expect him to be making me cringe more than once. The story is laid out well and more than once I didn't expect what what was coming so I look forward to seeing where it goes from here. In my opinion The Hunted One is recommended.

Michaela has always done what she thought was right for the good

Michaela has always done what she thought was right for the good of humans and angels alike. To preserve heaven and keep the balance. As she returns from a brief visit to Earth she feels immediately that something is not right. One to the other Archangels meets her upon her return and takes her to the gates of Heaven to show her what is wrong. There she sees many of the Fallen just standing there. She is convinced to attack them and in doing so brings about so much pain. She is betrayed by her own kind, but that is not the worst of what happens. Clark is a Descendant one of the few who are charged with helping the angels that are on earth. Clark resents the Descendants and wants nothing more than to get away from them. One night while in a drunken stupor he stumbles upon Michaela and knows immediately what he has to do. Clark and Michaela face many trials together and learn that not everything is at it seems. While they work to uncover Lucifer’s plot against Heaven and Earth the ones who have taken over Heaven plot against her to bring about her demise. This is a great story with many twists and turns it is a great variation on your typical end of days story.

I was given this book for a honest review. Lucifer is trying to take over not only earth but heaven as well. He has found allies in heaven that has thrown out the arch angels and their general Michaela has lost her wings and thrown down to earth. "It was the end of the world, but it was taking Heaven and Hell with it." With the Arch Angels in hiding and Gabe in hell, Michaela has to find a friend on earth and does in Clark. Clark is a descendant of Enoch and was born into the duty of protecting angels on earth. This is a great story and I can't wait to read the next book. Collett, does a wonderful in describing  the scenes and the emotional turmoil within the characters. This book is a great read for any age. SBMorales

'The Hunted One' is an exciting and enchanting first novel in a fresh New Adult fantasy/paranormal series. The book follows main character, Michaela, who is an Archangel in Heaven, until she is betrayed by fellow Archangels and thrown to Earth - stripped of her wings and powers. Those who betrayed Michaela and Heaven accuse Michaela of being the one who let the fallen angels inside of Heaven, causing an ethereal war. Although Michaela is forced to stay on Earth without her wings, she vows to do everything in her power to return to Heaven and reveal the truth about what happened, along with what she believes is the holy angel's own plan to take over Heaven and begin the End of Days. Along with her Archangel friend, Gabriel, who was also banished to Earth, and Clark - a human devoted to protecting the angels - the three will stop at nothing until the truth is revealed and everything restored to it's rightful place.

Although there are tons of books out there that are about angels and fallen angels, this one is a serious breath of fresh air into the genre, as well as pushing it even further by being a New Adult title. I loved the concept of the story and devoured every single detail that the author gave me about all the angels - holy and fallen - and about their histories, the end of days, Heaven, and everything else that the book centers around. I couldn't get enough of all the vivid descriptions and intricate details throughout the book and I really hope that we get more of the same in the next installment. Michaela is a kick-ass main character for the book. She's an Archangel and is basically in charge of keeping Heaven safe. When she gets betrayed by her fellow Archangels - those she loved and considered family - she has to gather her determination, strength, will, and intelligence in order to figure out the truth and find a way back to Heaven. Although she's such a strong lead character, she does have faults - which only seem to amplify the longer she's on Earth. I liked seeing her flaws because it made her feel more realistic and I could easily identify with her. The other two main characters in the story are Gabriel - a fellow Archangel banished to Earth, and Clark - a descendant of Enoch whose duty is to protect the angels. The three make a strange team at first, but they work together well and form a great dynamic. The story is actually told from varying viewpoints - those of Michaela, Gabriel, and Clark - which I believe adds a whole new level to the book. The reader gets to see into the minds and hearts of each of these characters in an intimate way that wouldn't be possible otherwise. The plot was full of action and even some romance along the way. There was a lot going on, but I didn't feel overwhelmed or confused at all. The pace was quick and I found myself eagerly reading to find out what was going to happen next. I have to admit that I definitely liked watching the relationship between Michaela and Gabriel change and grow - it was an added bonus to an already awesome story line. I highly recommend this book to fans of fantasy and paranormal, as well as those who enjoy angel and New Adult fiction. I'm already eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to be released!

I have to tell you first of all, this book is why I write review

I have to tell you first of all, this book is why I write reviews on all the books I read now. I had never written a review before but this book was just so AMAZING that there was no way I wanted anyone to ever pass it up!!!!!! I was a lucky giveaway winner on Facebook and received an ARC copy of The Hunted One. So it isn't out yet but WOW!!!

I absolutely love and recommend this book to everyone!!!!

From the first paragraph I was in love. Meg painted the absolute most amazing picture of Heaven right off the bat, and she continues to paint pictures throughout the entire book. Everything is so descriptive. It is so easy to imagine that you are actually watching everything take place. From Michaela's ghostly image to her human-like form; you are witnessing her change.

The non-stop action from the start and all the way to the end is just crazy good. Meg's ability to keep the action flowing throughout the entire read, until now, has been non-existent in any of the hundred's of books I have read. Yes, there are some books that are action packed, but nothing compares to The Hunted Once. She is truly gifted!!!!!!

The Hunted One is so detailed that it makes your imagination run in overdrive as every scene is played out right in front of you.

Great work Meg! I am so excited for The Lost One. Congratulations on your first book getting ready for publishing, and good luck with The Lost One. I will be one of the first to buy it!!! Guaranteed!

I will first mention that I personally know the author. And when I read books written by people I know, I'm always a little worried. I'm worried the book will disappoint, and my brutal honesty will come forth. I didn't need to worry here.

The storytelling is vivid, with strong character development. I'm intrigued by the author's humanization of angels, and the idea that just like us, they doubt, and struggle, and make mistakes. As such, this book was not what I expected and the pace and story turns kept me looking for more. When the end of Book 1 arrived, I was taken by surprise. That's good, as it means I, and other readers, will be anxious to read the second installment.
