I Believe Bunny is the first in a series to come by author Tish Rabe. I thought the watercolor and pencil pictures were really beautiful. I love to paint with watercolors also.
In this story, bunny finds a mouse that is going to drown in the river unless someone helps. Bunny prays and then Bunny's friends show up to help.
My mom always teaches me to pray to God when I need help and this book can help kids to remember to pray when they need help by thinking of this story. You never know when you are going to be in a dangerous situation and need God to help you.
I recommend this book for kids from ages 3 to 6, and even though I just turned 8, I'll be reading the rest of this series when it comes out. It's also a hardcover book that can be donated or given away when you're done.

The I Believe Bunny by Tish Rabe is an adorable children's book. My first experience with this book was listening to my Mom read it to my son, and I got to fully enjoy listening and watching him as the story played out. He was so attentive and has enjoyed it repeatedly since then, read by me, his Dad, and his sisters. Reading with our children is a wonderful experience, and getting to share with them, in books like this with lessons from scripture woven into them is an added bonus. Delightful pictures illustrated by Frank Endersby hold the attention of readers of all ages. The expressive animals come to life as they share how God answers prayer. The easy to read rhyming pattern is based on Philippians 4:13. My favorite passage from the book, to give you an example, is "Have faith in God's love, and you'll find when you do, nothing you try will be impossible for you." I recommend the I Believe Bunny book to anyone who wants to share, in this precious format, that when we call on God when situations are beyond our control, He always is able to help. http://brb.thomasnelson.com/ I am a member of Thomas Nelson's Book Review Blogger Program.

"The I Believe Bunny" is a story about a bunny who stumbles upon some trouble on a rainy day. He needed to help another and knew he couldn't do it on his own. He prayed to God and he had some help from his friends. His faith in God proves to be the lesson for Bunny this day!
I read this book to my four year old and he was intrigued with the book the whole way through. My favorite part about this book is that there are multiple concepts for discussion: Prayer, helping others, God's goodness, and thankfulness are the most important. The illustrations were soft and tell the story well, and got my son pointing to things he noticed on each page. It's definitely a story we will be able to read over again many times and still be able to learn and enjoy it! Looking forward to adding more of this series to our collection.

I recently had the opportunity to review The I Believe Bunny book from Thomas Nelson Publishers and am so happy that I did! What I thought was so great about this book was that it helps to teach children to put their faith into action and how great the power of prayer really is! Nothing is impossible with God and this is a message which is clear throughout this precious story. I think it's a terrific message for a child of any age. In fact, I found it encouraging even as an adult!!
The pictures in this book are truly amazing! I know any young child would absolutely love the colors and the life it brings to the story. I am SO excited to be able to read this story to my two grandchildren and to have it for many years! It's one that will be enjoyed over and over again! Between the message, the rhyming in the story and the beautiful pictures...I definitely give this book 5 stars! Check it out if you haven't already...you won't be sorry you did!
"The I Believe Bunny" by Tosh Rabe is a cute children's book with a Christian twist. The book starts off with a Bible quotation, and the story works around it to teach a central message. In this particular book in the series, the bunny finds a fellow woodland creature in distress. He tries to help the critter and, when in need of assistance, prays. Later, more friends of the bunny come to help bunny save his new friend. In the end, all the creatures learn the power of prayer.
Illustrated by Frank Endersby, the pictures are very vibrant. They are akin to soft watercolors, oftetimes relying heavily on pastels. The text itself is arragned in a poetic structure with quatrains. The story can be dramatically suspenseful at times since a creature is in need of rescue. Great for children, this teaches a Christian lesson and has a happy ending all thanks to God.

This book is based on Philippians 4:13 : 'I can do everything through him who gives me strength' a favorite verse of my own. I couldn't wait to read this book to my daughter and was not disappointed in the least bit. I like that this story encourages children to look to their Father God in times of trouble. I really enjoyed the lightheartedness feeling of this book but also the strong message in teaching children to seek God in times of trouble and the power of prayer.
This book is written in a style that all children both young and old will enjoy. My daughter at only 13 months enjoys looking at the clear and bright colored illustrations on each page as well as listening to me read through the fun rhyming style that the book was written in. I am encouraged knowing in the years to come when she is older, she'll have questions pertaining deeper into this well-written story.
I'll defiantly be looking for other titles in the I Believe Bunny series by Tish Rabe. I'm encouraged that her books are written with keeping in mind to
teach children to put their faith into action.

I Believe Bunny by Tish Rabe is a short and sweet rhyming book geared for 3-7 year olds (I would think). Behind the soft, pretty watercolor-like illustrations and gentle-flowing poetry of the words is one of the biggest messages of Christian truth: God answers prayer. That can be one of the trickiest messages of Christian truth as well, since God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we think He should, and sometimes the answer is even "No." This book does not delve into the theological debate of those things, and instead sticks to the basic encouragement to pray when in trouble because God is with us and in the case of the I Believe Bunny, God does provide help and a happy ending. I think this is a very important message for children to hear as we raise them in faith. The book points out that the bunny is small and can't accomplish much on his own. But God provides help and a solution to the problem. How many times is it written in the Bible that our weakness is God's strength? How often does God carry out his plan in the weakest, in order to show it was His strength not man's at work? These things are presented here in an easy to understand format for young children. This book is a great tool for encouraging children to think about praying when in trouble, asking God for help, and looking for how God answers their prayers.

I enjoyed reading this book to my son. He also enjoyed the pictures and the story. The cute illustrations add to the enjoyment of this book. I appreciate finding a book I can share with my child that teaches a strong biblical truth in a story with text understandable for young children. I look forward to other books in this series.

The I Believe Bunny written by Tish Rabe and illustrated by Frank Endersby for children ages 4-8 tells the tale of a "soggy and boggy" bunny. Bunny wants the sun to shine. His friends invite him to come and play. Then Bunny hears a cry from the river. A little brown mouse needs help. Bunny wants to help, but he doesn't know if he can. A cute, rhyming tale that teaches children about faith, prayer, and, no matter how big or small, each one of us can make a difference.
Upon finishing our first read through, my four-year-old immediately took the book to her bedroom and read it again and again. I loved the soft water color pictures and the message of the story. The rhyme portion of the story is a little off and detracts from the overall readability.
I would recommend "The I Believe Bunny" to parents looking for literature which reinforce the moral and Biblical values we teach our children.
The I Believe Bunny book is part of a new series by Tish Rabe that teaches children to put their faith into action. This thirty-two page book is geared toward children, ages 4 to 8. Delightfully, illustrated by Frank Endersby.
The I Believe Bunny book is an adventure story that teaches the our children about the importance of prayer. A shout from a roaring river reaches, I Believe Bunny's ears. A struggling Little Mouse, who could not swim was rapidly drifting by. What can a small bunny like I Believe Bunny possible do? Only after doing all that he thought he could do, he prays to God and calls out for help. Immediately, friends hear his cry and come to his aid, new friendships are made and joy is proclaimed.
"I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13
I know you and your child will enjoy this delightful tale of faith and friendship, as did my daughters and I. This story not only teaches us about the importance of prayer, but praise as well.
Keep an eye out for other books by Tish Rabe. She has over 80 children's books in publication.

I was introduced to the new series of books, The I Believe Bunny, by Thomas Nelson Publishers. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to review one of these books that teaches children how to put their Faith into action. It delivers a sweet story, as well as a message that teaches nothing is impossible for God and no matter how little we may be, He can do big things through us! This message of Faith and the Power of Prayer is a wonderful encouragement to anyone reading this story...young and old alike!
The moment I opened this book I was impressed. It begins with a scripture that relates to the story you are about to read. As I read it with my 20 month old daughter, I found the pictures to be captivating and ones that truly made the story come to life. The author uses a rhyming tone that makes the story flow well and something a child can listen to and enjoy quite easily. Kaelyn just loved this story and I forsee her enjoying it for many years to come!
The publishers recommend this book for ages 4-8, but in my opinion a child is never to young to share God's Word or the joy of reading! I would recommend this book to anyone with children...it's one you'll find yourself reading many times throughout the years!!
I was given the opportunity to review a children's book called, "The I Believe Bunny." While I don't care for the name, both my little ones and I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
The I Believe Bunny is the story of, you guessed it, a bunny that lives in a hard to find place, etc. etc. In this episode, the I Believe Bunny finds himself soaking wet from rain when he hears the faint cries of a mouse in distress. With the help of God, through prayer, the bunny is able to find the strength to hang on until help arrives and the mouse is safe again.
The story is very well written in rhyme that isn't forced and it is definitely a fun read-aloud. I also appreciated that the reference to prayer was not overpowering or above the heads of my children (4 years old and 2 years old). It was just perfect; they saw how God can help them when they need him and that all they have to do is call upon him.
This book is part of a series and I really must say that if the publishers want kids to quickly identify with this character a name change is in order. It doesn't have to be anything too drastic, maybe just I.B. Bunny. Let's face it "I Believe" Bunny is just not a name to which children can instantly relate.
All things considered, this book is well worth the purchase and I look forward to picking up the next story!
The I Believe Bunny is a story about the power of prayer. Bunny lives in a flower-filled glen with his friends Squirrel, Raccoon and Skunk. On a rainy spring day Bunny isn't feeling too great. He's got wet whiskers and his ears have lost their fluff. But then he hears a cry for help and sees a mouse has been swept into the river. Bunny knows he must try and save Little Mouse, but when fear and doubt take over Bunny turns to prayer and asks God for help.
The I Believe Bunny is beautifully written rhyme. It's inspirational in its message and filled with prose as fresh as a rainy spring day. Children and adults will find the illustrations to be beautiful, bright, lively and whimsical. The message of the story is clear, honest and straightforward. I can do everything through him who gives me strength, Philippians4:13. The I Believe Bunny would be perfect for children 4-8 years of age, but I would recommend this book to any parent or child, young or old. This book was delightful and fresh. The I Believe bunny is beautifully presented and would make a great addition to any library. I love children's books. I have a small collection and enjoy taking one out now and then and reading it. I am happy to be adding this book to my collection.
