    Mystical Coins

When i first saw the I ching workbook, i was rather intrigued by it because of the very fact that it was a workbook. There are not many occult, or esoteric subject, work books i have seen. Generally i learn best by actually doing what im learning and not just reading about it, this is one of the reasons why the I ching workbook caught my eye. I have been reading and using the I ching workbook for about 2 weeks now and generally i like the book but I do have some problems with it. I ching work book gives the reader a very brief history of the origins of the I ching(2 pages only), The religious aspects of the I ching, ying and yang explanations as well as how the hexagrams generally work,How to use the 3 coin method as well as the do's and donts when asking questions and interpreting the answers. In total, there are 13 pages that cover the basics. The other 147 pages are strictly devoted to the 64 hexagrams, 2 pages per hexagram. One of my problems with this book are the hexagram sections. The interpretations are suppose to be written using " modern english" but they can often read something straight out of a fortune cookie, leaving the reader to interpret the interpretations. Perhaps it would have been more efficient if they had used simple plain english when writing the interpretations for the hexagrams. Some of the things i liked about the I ching workbook are the the helpful charts that allows the reader to quickly look up what a hexagram is based on its to child trigrams. The book also points to other books for those who want to devle more deeply into the symbolism and history of the i ching. One unique feature of this workbook is you can actually write down what hexagram you receive in static form,a narrowed or undeveloped attitude or an undeveloped part of your life, into the book so you can actually see where in your life you need to work on and follow the advice the I ching gives. Overall, i think this book is very good, which is why i gave it 4 stars, i would have given it 4.5 but i cant.

A True Source Of Wisdom for Everyday Living

During a diffucult period of my life I studied the I-Ching Workbook by RL Wing every day, religiously. for seven years. It helped me follow the seasons, learn to identify patterns in the universe, and on earth, as well as the patterns of human nature. It's wisdom is always dead-on and without bias. It always has the "ring of truth" and always revealed something I had not considered, something that inevitably helped me better understand the dynamics governing the inquiry at hand. I found it's wisdom and advice both helpful and peaceful.

Today, as a result of my studies of the I-Ching Workbook I feel more at peace with myself and my surroundings. I still consult it to this day but have learned and internalized many of it's principles. I now give it at a gift to those I see on the path and journey for true understanding.
