    Come on people...

    The use of different names for the gods is not the translator's fault. When the Iliad was written down, supposedly by Homer, it was so long after the Bronze Age (It was written in the Iron Age) that he inserted his own people's names for them. Only now do we realize that there is a problem. (There are many more, too.)
