This is a wonderful heartwarming tale about a British expat and her Pakistani gardener, and the unlikely relationship that develops between them.
It's a subtle tale, beautifully written, and the author has spent a lot of time and effort considering the characters and carefully crafting them.
She's also obviously spent a lot of time in Greece and knows the customs and people intimately. Reading her books transports you instantly to the Greek sunshine. Marvellous!
