I admit that I haven’t picked up a Stephen King book in a while, despite loving his gloriously disturbing writings, but this specific book was a blast to read through. And yes, I read the book in its entirety...alone. Yes, I won, but who is keeping score? I am obviously, but anyways...I could only imagine the added fun that could be had during a Halloween party (so cliche right?) if this book was brought along. Maybe question the kiddies as they ring your bell. If they answer right, they get their candy. If they answer wrong the guy sitting in the corner chair will chase them down Maple street with a chainsaw, but not until after taking their candy. That is after all how we usually refill our candy dish in our house. Don't judge.
The authors, Freeman, Vincent, and Chadbourne have revised their original 2005 edition to bring it current and up to date with all of Stephen King’s novels up to The Wind Through the Keyhole,  and they have added even more picture-based questions to enliven the adventure.
*Since the original review for this book was written, it appears another edition is coming out October 2013 according to Amazon? My ARC version is dated 2012, the company I originally reviewed this title for showed 12/31/12 as release date, but the back of the book shows a February 2013 date. I'll take that beer now. You just go Pre-Order and stop asking me questions already!
    “Where was Stephen King born?”
The only complaint I have about this book is that it would have been nice to see things actually broken down into each book, rather than discussed randomly, as not everyone has read all of King’s books, and to try to weed through the 474 pages to utilize the questions might become unnerving over time. Or just crack open a few bottles and make the book even more interesting by turning the questions into a game of drunken trivia charades. Overall, I was rather satisfied with this read and know there will be many entertaining nights to come from it...even if just with myself...

I am so excited to be able to review this book! First of all Stephen King is my favorite author! He is a huge writer and I am a big collector! With that being said Brian James Freeman and Bev Vincent are well known in the King universe as King "gurus". They have written so many books about Stephen King and have been nominated for so many different awards. They also have a lot to do with Cemetary Dance Publications, which I also LOVE!

Phew, can you tell that I am in my genre? I am so excited to be able to review Brian's latest book: The Illustrated Stephen King Movie Trivia Book by Brian James Freeman, Hans Ake Lilja, and Kevin Quigley. Illustrated by Glenn Chadbourne.

The great part about these books is that anyone can answer the questions and get some right. I considered myself a huge fan, and I got about 70% right. Some questions are easier than others, and some are tougher than others!. At the end of each chapter is an illustration with a question! Glenn knows how to draw images right out of King's mind.
I am giving this book a 5/5 and love everything about it. This is a great book to have around, because everyone has seen at least 1 Stephen king movie. From Carrie to The Shining this would make a great coffee table book!
