Overview

Any parent who's been through the rigors of an infant invasion knows that the real poop, er, scoop, rarely gets recorded in those precious little keepsake books. After all, those books don't cover all the really gross and fascinating stuff that makes parents laugh, scream, and scratch their heads. The Inappropriate Baby Book, however, has the good stuff covered. A real baby book for real parents, The Inappropriate Baby Book offers a unique and hysterical way to commemorate those decidedly non-Kodak moments that compose the better part of the newborn experience. Herein, you'll find room to record such facts as:You were introduced to a rectal thermometer on this day: _______.The first person you peed on was _______.Your mom was embarrassed by breast leakage in the following places: _________.Your first poop happened on this day: _______, and was this color: _________.Now, that's the kind of information that should not be lost to posterity!Sure, babies are cute, but they are also stinky, sticky, soggy, and otherwise inappropriate. So don't sugarcoat the story-let The Inappropriate Baby Book help you tell it like it really is.The book includes an envelope affixed to the last page so that an inappropriate memento can be saved forever. (Or at least until the little angel's prom night!)

Meet the Author

Growing up in Alaska, Jennifer Stinson passed many cold, dark, winter days playing with imaginary friends, making up dance routines, and creating inappropriate illustrations. She created the original Inappropriate Baby Book for a pregnant friend. Friends and even strangers asked to buy copies for themselves, and soon a real bouncing baby book was born. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, dog, and cat.

It's a nice addition to the 'typical/appropriate' babybook which you can record all the 'typical/traditional' things in but it's also great to have the real-life, crazy things that life always throws at you written down as well....those memories are important too--they happen! After the initial embarrastmentment is over, you will laugh out loud!

This book makes a wonderful little laugh for later down the road when you're children have grown enough to appreciate it and a hillarious secondary baby book. Lets face it, we'll remember all the embarassing moments forever anyway. When they grow up and leave the house those goofy things will cheer us up and it would be wonderful to give to a daughter as she raises her first child to show her that she isn't alone, you went through it too.

I bought this for my 'now' nephew! My brother is having a blast adding things. My sister-in-law sticks to the cutesy one, but still enjoys this one too! Not sure what the above lady was talking about, it's the funny moments that continue to make you laugh years down. Lighten up!

I wish it had MORE to it. I can think of more "inappropriate" things to add to this book, but it does make a cute addition to a regular baby book or calendar. It was the only gift that got passed around at the baby shower.

I am searching for a baby book for my third child, our first son. I saw this title and was shocked that someone would come up with such a mean idea. Our children should be valued and praised, and above all, never made to feel embarrassed. This book has such a terrible premise that I am totally dismayed that any store would carry it. I didn't even have to look inside the cover, I just read the description. I love my children very much and I will chose when, or if, to tell them about their embarrassing baby moments. I certainly won't use this book to make a joke out of them or their first months of life.
