Meet the Author

Jackie King is a full-time, published writer who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma and entertains herself by murdering, on paper, the people she dislikes. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, Romance Writers of America, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Oklahoma Mystery Writers, and Tulsa Night Writers.

THE SPINSTER, THE PIG, AND THE ORPHAN, part of the anthology Statehood Foxy Hens and Murder Most Fowl is her second novella and first published mystery. Her first novella, FLIRTING AT FIFTY, appeared in the anthology, Chik~Lit for Foxy Hens. She has published dozens of short stories about women and women’s problems and has also sold articles.

King overcame her natural reserve and learned to love public speaking and book signings. She especially loves libraries and librarians. She is willing to travel at a moment’s notice to meet and speak with new readers.

Most of King’s stories and books include at least one child or teenager and one intelligent animal. THE INCONVENIENT CORPSE contains an orphan cat who steals the heart of her heroine. This novel was born when King asked herself this question: “What would I do if I were stranded in a strange town with no friends and no money? Oh, and for fun I could throw in a corpse—a naked one—in the middle of my own bed. Could I survive by using just my determination, brains, and moxie? Hmm…”

    Warm and Fuzzy Cozy

    I LOVED this book and can't wait for the sequel as I kept thinking about the characters for days after finishing. This is a fun read that kept me guessing and wanting more. Grace found herself in an ungraceful predicament but finishes true to her name with inner strength making us women proud. Definitely a great cozy!
