CHAPTER 1
A Millionaire Mindset
Conditions on planet earth are always perfect to be successful. Planet earth is set up this way by sources beyond our knowledge. Enjoying the law of abundance, the law of attraction and the law of a thousand-fold gives us the awesome privilege of life. We only have to follow certain unchangeable rules, call them commandments of success if you will, to benefit from the full magnificence of this law. An offset of which is surely the millionaire mindset – our birthright.
When you have your mind "set" as a millionaire's mindset should be set, opportunities will come in surprising ways, from improbable sources, and often in abundant quantities.
In the incredible plan I will refer often to the biblical saying: "Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" The asking does not have to be done via the media, in writing, newspapers, internet or advertising formats. Or even spoken. It does not have to be done on a person-to-person basis. It does not have to be done in a conventional way at all. All you have to do is ask the universe, via your subconscious mind, via your thoughts.
Ask is perhaps too polite a word. Demand is better. Demand of the universe, is stronger. Demand with emotion even better, if you truly wish to receive that which you want. That which is your unique birthright. The Incredible Plan will give you many choices, all of which are different roads to your birthright of success
A classic example of "ask and it shall be given unto you" was when reporter Napoleon Hill finished writing his outstanding self help classic book Think and Grow Rich, which had no title. His publisher said: " We need a title and we need it now. The book goes to print tomorrow. Unless you have a new title we'll publish it under my title of Use your noodle and get the boodle."
Professional author and cultured journalist that he was, Napoleon Hill was horrified by this suggestion. "You can't call my work by a title like that. I'll be ruined. It's a serious work. You just can't call my book that!"
"Can't I?" responded his publisher. "Well I've got publishing rights, so it's a better title by tomorrow, or I publish under my title of "Use your noodle and get the boodle."
Napoleon Hill sat up late, thinking of possible solutions. He had already published The Law of Success and did not want to repeat that title. He had already tried hundreds of possible titles, but none of them were the "million dollar title" which he sought.
After many hours of thinking, and many discarded thoughts, he went to bed and demanded of the universe that he be given a new publishable title. A million dollar title. He asked and he expected to receive. He believed he would receive. He had faith he would receive. He knew he would receive. He demanded again and again. He couldn't sleep of course. Lay awake for hours wrestling with his problem asking, asking, asking, until he finally fell into a shallow early morning slumber.
Now imagine how delighted both he and his publisher were when the universe came back with his answer – the one he woke up with next morning "Think and Grow Rich." ... a book which became an instant International best seller, and has continued to sell for 80 years. And still does.
I rate it as one of the finest books of all time in its genre.
Ask and you shall receive.
Having the "mindset of the rich" is something that evolves, in each of us, if we demand it by continual use of affirmations. Affirmations that make up our goals ... combined with continually asking the right questions of the universe. And regardless of what we may believe at any one time.
Just start asking and expecting replies. Ask one dollar questions and you'll get one dollar replies. Ask million dollar questions. Expect million dollar replies. That's your birthright. That's your millionaire mindset. To which there are many keys.
The major key is to have an incredible plan
They key to success is in your hands. In your mind. In your subconscious. If the lock is a little rusty, that is of little importance. Just start turning and, in time, it will surely open for you.
A few years ago I was in the mountains of New South Wales. Close by, a gang of men were surveying a site. Others were knocking a few white posts into the ground. Surveyors were writing numbers in a book.
Curious I asked a guy with a shovel and a white hard hat, what he was doing and he responded: "Marking out the trig points. We are going to build a dam, right here in the mountains."
"Do you have a plan?" I asked. The man laughed heartily. "Before we came up here to do this final survey, we were planning this venture for three years. We looked at fifteen different sites, and this is the final selection. After we start, there is another five years of work here. We planned this every inch of the way." He turned away from me, and shoveled the first shovel of dirt in this project. Yes. He had a plan.
I visited that site six years later. The men were gone. But the evidence of their presence, of the giant machines they had used, and the materials they had organized was clear. A mammoth horseshoe shaped dam was slowly filling with water.
Where did this project begin? It all began when someone asked the universe how to give the people of a nearby city a better water supply? Just plain old thinking. "Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you." Ask. Seek. Knock. And a plan will be given to you.
What do you ask? Who do you ask? In what way do you ask?
Ask big questions, generate big thoughts, receive big replies, accept big results. Or ask small questions, small thoughts, small replies, and receive small results. The answer came to the dam builders because they asked, a plan was conceived, and a dam was built. Without the plan it would have remained as a silent thought in someone's mind.
When that thought was conceived, it was small. When it was believed, it was bigger. When the dam was achieved it was a done deal.
It all began with a single thought! Followed by action.
Try asking the universal higher power for what you want.
You have the connection. I will show you the way.
CHAPTER 2Life is not a spectator sport
Humanity and the waiter
Humanity: "Waiter ... get me a glass of wine."
Waiter: "Certainly Sir ... ordinary ... good ... or ... excellent" (Universe)
Humanity: "You mean I have a choice?"
Waiter: "Certainly Sir! You have the right to make a choice every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, and every year of your existence on this planet."
Humanity: "If I fail to make a choice?"
Waiter: "If you fail to make a choice, Sir, I will deliver you the ordinary ... ... every time, as I do to 95% of the world's population"
Humanity: "I'll have the excellent"
Waiter: "A wise choice, Sir."
Humanity: "Thank you."
Waiter: "Thank you."
Humanity: "Thank you."
100,000 spectators at the rugby football ground roar with excitement as the fastest runner grabs the ball and makes his astounding zig-zag play. The excitement is electric. Emotions soar.
60,000 basketball fans moan with disappointment as Michael swings in the air, plays the impossible shot, only to find the ball rolls around the wire and falls outside – then cheer like crazy as Michael grabs it again - and zings it right into the net. The bell sounds and Michael's team has won by one point, grabbing victory from the jaws of failure, with phenomenal magic play.
The wizard of the dribble runs down the touchline, and kicks a high ball into the middle of the goal area. Diving, his centre- forward, heads it neatly and precisely and victoriously into the net, ahead of the grasping outstretched hands of the athletic goalkeeper. Germany have won the world soccer cup, and no less than 50 million hysterical, fanatical fans, all over the world, clap and cheer, at such brilliant expertise.
Whether you are one of the 100,000, one of the 60,000 or one of the 50 millions, you are still a spectator. A watcher. An observer. A bystander. This is good. Vicarious emotional pleasure generates active mental stimulation.
However real life is not a spectator sport. Real life is a participating event. To be a player instead of a spectator, to be a participant instead of a couch-potato, to be an actor instead of a member of the audience, to be a singer not a listener is your right: you have to develop the do-it-now habit, and make this active do-it-now habit a part of your life.
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players" as Shakespeare said, over 400 years ago, and we find now that, things haven't changed a lot. We are the players and we must play. Being a player is natural leadership at work. Let others be the followers, the spectators.
Here is a story of two men. Which one is the man on the white horse? The leader? And which the follower?
The two men walked into a travel agent. The first one stood around waiting to be spoken to. He wasn't very well dressed, had forgotten to shave, his eyes were red and his tie was crooked. His place in the queue was taken by others who arrived later, but he didn't appear to notice. Eventually a staff member asked him if she could help?
Would you like to book a vacation Sir? Yes, I would.
Where would you like to go? Not sure.
At home or overseas? Maybe overseas.
Do you have a current passport? I'll check.
What sort of a budget do you have? Not sure.
When do you want to go? Oh? Soon.
How long do you want to stay away? Not sure.
How many people will be in your party? Oh ... just two.
In his indecisiveness and inability to clearly answer these questions, the man left the agency, saying he would return later.
The second man, who had a plan, walked up to the counter, distributing warm smiles to everyone, and said: "I'm interesting in going to Hawaii, between August third to sixth.. Returning about ten to twelve days later and The Aloha Range of hotels in Honolulu would suit me fine. There will be two of us traveling and we'd like to go first class."
"Certainly sir we can arrange all that right now."
That's how successful people lead their lives. They know what they want and when they want it. They have a plan. They are like the man on the white horse. They have plans in mind, and ways to make those plans work in their favor. When the incredible plan starts to work for you, you'll find that you become clearer in your thinking, and more decisive in you activities. And more successful in all areas of your life.
Choose your words carefully
Amongst the indecisiveness of the first man, you'll have noticed he used a lot of very indecisive words like not sure, and maybe, which is a strong indication of an indecisive mind. Oddly:- many people do not realize the importance of the words they use every day, and how the constant use of certain words, can be detrimental to their entire lives: while other words – positive words – decisive words - can be powerful and productive.
Every time someone says "How are you?" and you answer "Fantastic" "Terrific" "Wonderful" "Great" "Amazing ... thanks," you are reinforcing the belief that your subconscious holds about your total welfare.
On the other hand if you say "Not bad." you are using a virtual double negative, which regrettably, does not make it a positive, and your subconscious will accept that "not bad" means mediocre, which is where you may not wish to be, but where your language places you.
There are really only two ways to reply to words. One is proactive, taking the initiative by acting, rather than reacting, to events: and the other is retroactive, which means your language will usually refer to the past, to that which has already happened. Those of the millionaire's mindset use proactive creative language, and take a proactive stance whenever possible.
Someone says "You're ugly" and the reaction of most people is defensive and retaliatory. If you have such an opinion of yourself, you may react with anger. Such an opinion may come from something deep seated in your subconscious. But "You're ugly" is only a couple of words.
Now imagine disarming the speaker by responding with a huge smile and the words "Thank you. I value your opinion."
On the other hand if someone says "You're beautiful" and you already hold an opinion to the opposite, you will again retaliate in the wrong way.
If you are proactive, you'll find you automatically react positively, regardless of the words others use. "You're ugly."
Responder laughs: "I know, it runs in the family" ... smiles. "You're beautiful."
Responder laughs: "I know, it runs in the family" ... smiles.
Which is why it is good to use positive words, and positive affirmations, in your everyday, day-to-day life. So that, when others react, it will automatically be in a positive way, a way that always works to your benefit. If your mind is already full of positives, more positives, in the form of words you have affirmed to yourself, day by day, result in continuing positive thoughts in your future. It's cumulative.
Positive words bring about a positive lifestyle
Start paying compliments to others, and their reaction will always make you feel better. Nothing finer than to smile with a friend, or even an acquaintance. Exchange a few positive affirmations with everyone every day. Especially strangers.
Remember those pictures of Napoleon Bonaparte, sitting on his white horse, commanding a battle. Can you imagine, even for a moment, that he would be using negative language? I don't think so.
Remember the famous advertisement that went "They laughed when I sat down at the piano ... but then I started to play" Positive words! Positive message! Positive visualization.
Well they laughed at Danny de Vito, when he said he wanted to be an actor. But he had persistence. "He didn't say: "What the heck, you're probably right." He said: "I can do it!"
In the early 1920s they laughed at W Clement Stone. Business experts of his day forecast he would go broke selling one dollar insurance policies. But who laughed loudest when he trained his men to sell one hundred policies each in a single week? All done with wise, clever, positive language and precise rebuttals as he created a billion dollar company, teaching many others to be millionaires in the process.
They laughed at the Wright brothers when they said they were going to fly. But the brothers were positive in ignoring the critics. "We can do it," they said. And did.
Marconi's friends and family laughed at him, called him a lunatic when he said he could send messages without the use of wires. He said: "I believe I can do it" And proved it. How far have communications improved since then?
They laughed at Leonardo da Vinci, who developed a prototype drawing of a submarine and another for the helicopter, 400 years before the practical plans were invented. He said "They will work." Leonardo truly was a man ahead of his time.
They laughed when it was suggested that businesses could send written information from office to office, using nothing but a telephone line. But an "I can do it person" persisted with this crazy idea and invented the fax.
Yes, we all know stories of what cannot be done. And we all know that anything is possible to he who believes it can, provided one has an organized plan and an extra ordinary amount of persistence. And uses scintillating positive language. Success may not be that simple. But using positive language is an excellent starting point. Not just when it suits you. But all the time. Including when you converse with yourself, silently, in your own mind.
Ray Croc made MacDonald's the biggest franchised business of its type in the world. He used to work twenty hours a day. First he had an organized plan – second he had the persistence to make the plan work - third he had the positive- ness to say "I will make this the biggest franchised business in the world." Some laughed. But what he believed was true.
Change your beliefs – Change the world One step at a time
Ever wondered about how world opinions change? Let's take a personal example. Think of your grandmother, living in a slower, less stress filled era. She may have been the most charming and intelligent person you ever knew. Now think of her beliefs, of what she believed to be true, but which the passing of time has changed. Her beliefs would now be undeniably false.
Henry Ford had the fixed beliefs of his day. He believed that he had the perfect car with the Model T. He believed that his dealership franchise plan would revolutionize the business world. He believed that the newly invented hire purchase agreements would create so many users, that he would belt the world with cars as he expressed it. Henry with a plan. He changed the world one car at a time.
