The Indispensable 1928-1957

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Scott Yanow
Much more complete than the Bluebird CD, this two-CD set has trombonist Jack Teagarden featured with Roger Wolfe Kahn's orchestra two takes of "She's a Great, Great Girl", Eddie Condon's Hot Shots, the Mound City Blue Blowers, eight numbers with Ben Pollack, his better recordings with Paul Whiteman's Orchestra, and a complete session under his own leadership in 1947, in addition to three numbers with Bud Freeman in 1957. This set is highly recommended to those who can locate it.
