About the Author

One of the, worlds leading interpreters of Tibetan mysticism, LAMA ANAGARIKA GOVINDA is the author of a number of books including the widely known Way of the White Cloud, The 'Psychological Attitude of Early Buddhist Philosophy, £ and Foundations of Tibetan Mysticism. Bom in Germany, his interest in Pali-Buddhism and monastic life led him to Ceylon and Burma. He finally settled in India. He has held posts in various Indian universities, and held exhibitions of his paintings in many of India's major A cities. Allahabad, India, has dedicated a permanent hall in the Municipal Museum of his work.
