    Put me on the road back to health!

    I found this text easy to read and follow and appreciated the care taken to state what was research and what was anecdotal results of the author's practice. Anyone with digestive questions and concerns needs to educate themselves. My doctors are good but none really took seriously that insoluble fiber was making me sicker and sicker. Even I didn't realize that was the common element in all of my "must be something I ate" days - which were becoming every single day. Many healthy things I ate were only making it worse.

    This book helped me piece together symptoms of bloating, edema, weight gain, fatigue, and a growing list of foods I mistook as the culprits, like gluten. I was able to reject the too easy GERD diagnosis and the too expensive probiotics and consider diverticulitis. Now I feel as if I can have a productive talk with my doctor about treatment. I have already changed my diet and 3 weeks later feel unbelievably better. I don't think even I was wlling to admit just how bad my poor gut was feeling!

    I had a display issue in the recipe section - which is practical and extensive - and the B&N Nook dude figured it right out.

    This book does not try to sell you some magic product, untested advice or whacky miracle cures.

    Watch out for ebook

    This is a continuation of my previous review which got posted before I finished editing it. The problems with the ebook are on my NOOK, the display is better when I view it on my computer. However I'm at my computer all day and don't want to read m ebooks there.

    A Must Read

    For anyone who has suffers from minor to extreme stomach (reflux included) and digestive issues, this book is a must read. For anyone who wants to know how food and nutrients digest or is simply curious, this book is a must read. After seeing countless GI doctors and never having a basic understanding of my digestive system I stumbled upon Dr. Mullin's website and this book. I am on my second read of the book and it is amazing how much I learned that Dr's never explained (or used hard to understand health terms). This book allowed me to take a serious pause and evaluate my eating habits, my emotional health and my stress level and how I can better balance all three.

    I recommended this book to several friends who suffer from gluten intolerance and IBS. I highly recommend this book, even if you do not follow the food elimination tracks (2 weeks), just to read it so you have a better understanding of what can cause irritations and how your insides work.
