Overview

THE INSURRECTIONIST, by Michael Dahlie. An unforgettable short story by the author of the PEN/Hemingway Award-winning novel, A Gentleman’s Guide to Graceful Living. The story follows a rather unsuccessful American businessman living in London. Bumbling and insecure, though simultaneously endearing, William has to figure out how to save face for his loved ones even while his irate co-workers grow sick of his incompetency. The story bounces between a comedy of manners and a disquieting look at how even the most passive of us can be pushed to a breaking point.
