This is the perfect game for Nook. Fun to play, great storyline, smooth programming. We need more games like this for the Nook. I am so tired of the cheap little $0.99 piddly games that are not professionally produced (c'mon how many dress-up games or Angry Birds knockoffs do we really need?). I want more real games

A very fun game to play. Love the story and the voice overs make it even better. Plays nice and smooth and is overall great.

To those stuck, I feel your pain and posted about my own issue earlier. I am so tempted to give you the answers BUT when I was finally able to figure out what I was missing I felt stupid for it then immediately grateful that nobody gave me the answer :-) Loved this game immensely and the moments I wanted to throw the nook against a wall made completion Much more satisfying! Check your big map and focus on collecting resources while exploring Every Inch of all the islands! You'll end up Way ahead of the game on all the rest of the challanges!

This is not compatible with Nook Color. This should be noted before one buys it.

I have purchased 7 of this developers apps and have loved them all. Here comes the "but"...at least 3 of the games ended with "to be continued". This is very frustrating especially when you are expecting a solution when you reach the end. I am still waiting for the additional game to come out that will supply the ending to "The Mystery of the Portal". Do not get me wrong these games are worth the money just as they are, and I do not regret purchasing any of them. They all have a great replay value. I would recommend this developers apps to anyone who is interested in this type of game. However, I am wondering how many purchases will it take...1...2...3...to finally find out the answer to the game, and at what final cost? My issue is that when one spends the money to purchases a game like this, and takes the time to finish it, the answer to the mystery, when you reach the end, should not be "to be continued". If an app comes in "parts" this should be noted in the overview. Thanks

I was having a lot of fun with this addicting game and I got pretty far into it when I became prisoner in the northwestern cave. I am VERY disappointed! I doubt I will start over and try to finish it any time soon. I've been playing for quite a few hours and I just don't want to have to do it all over again! Lots of running back and forth!

This is the best Nook game that I've played so far. It's easy to learn, has an interesting story line, and all of the individual tasks/quests keeps your interest for hours. Worth the investment.

I wanted to wait to write a review until I FINISHED the game. The free demo was very nice. It gives you a good since of what the game is about and what your tasks are. So if you don't like the demo, don't buy the game. I personally loved this game and wished there were more like it. It took me two days to complete and that was when I couldn't put it down. So, it is a long game and worth your money. There is a cliff hanger that sets you up for the sequel. The Sequel is not yet available for the nook, and I couldn't find out when it would be.
The game has good graphics and each character has its own personality and voice. The plot is interesting.
In the game, you are a character names John. He has to go around the island doing various tasks like gathering food, hunting, fishing, and talking with the natives and doing what they ask as well.
NOTE: when you play the demo and then buy the full game you do not start off where the demo left off, you start off at the beginning. it is not as annoying as it sounds. it actually makes things easier since you know what to do when it counts.
Have fun!

Really good game!!! Wasnt sure I wanted to spend the money on it, but it was worth it. Closest to the Sims games(love em) that I could find! I can't wait for the next one. Never froze up and always kept my interest. Always wanted to hurry home so I could play. Great game thanks for making it and keep em coming

This game was soooo much fun to play, these are the type of games you need more of, interactive simulation what a blast!
I don't care for puzzle games but i really loved this one. Finding hidden objects and spot the difference games are boring to me. Please bring more games like the island castaway !!
